| General Construction |
| A. |
| All Casegoods must start with a solid hardwood frame. |
| B. |
| MDF is to be used in place of particle board; particle board is only allowed with Buyer written pre-approval. |
| C. |
| No dead knots in solid wood, plywood or veneer. |
| D. |
| For tops, 3 ply or 5 ply with solid wood lumber edge band is acceptable. For all other panels, no exposed MDF/particle board and no basecoating allowed over MDF/particleboard without approval from the buyer. |
| E. |
| Provide heavy duty, metal, anti-tip hardware kits on all items over 30 inches and include installation instructions. |
| F. |
| Specify type of hardwood and/or veneer used. |
| G. |
| Either: 100% virgin nylon glides OR bottom of feet/legs must be level, sanded, fully finished (with a clear coat) and extremely smooth to the touch. |
| H. |
| Nylon glides must be centered on bottom of feet. |
| I. |
| Large case pieces should have levelers. |
| J. |
| Individual nail heads only, no strips; unless approved in writing. |
| K. |
| All fabrics should have a heavy duty backing. |
| L. |
| All finished wood product must be kiln dried to between 8%-12% moisture content and kept at 8%-12%. |
